There’s no business in the world that couldn’t improve their processes. In fact, the most successful companies do it every day.

Most people are scared by the words however, because business consultants make their money by making sweeping changes that confuse everyone, involve lots of money and don’t always stick once they leave.

Process improvement should be small changes, constantly, that do not cost much at all.

Improvement is best when it comes from people who work in your business and understand the challenges to great customer experience.

Every business will have its own unique problems and when you list them all out it’s a daunting task to know what to fix first. Here’s the three questions you should be asking with each problem you have:

  1. Does this impact customer experience?
  2. Is this costing me employees?
  3. Is this costing me money?

Customer Experience

Mapping and understanding your customer journey is the best way to understand where problems lie. From the number of steps they need to take to the communication they receive along the way, making this as seamless and exciting as possible will show real and tangible returns. Employees

Your most important asset is the people who can grow your business when you’re not there. Process improvement isn’t always about systems and sales, sometimes it’s improving how easy it is for your team to get on with their work and not have to worry about issues elsewhere.

Money

It’s not always easy to notice when issues cost money, especially when it’s small. Looking at your process from a pure cost out perspective can give you different insights in to what you’re spending money on. Do you really need to print those receipts?

What do you do?

The reason we want to come and work in your business is so that we can understand these challenges and solve them in a way that makes sense to you. We know that you can’t solve everything, however we can work on the ones with the most impact to the three questions above and prove tangible improvements without costing you the earth.
